SÜDWIND is a research institute and NGO committed to making economic, social and environmental justice a global reality. Since its foundation in 1991, SÜDWIND reveals unjust structures within the global economic system while devoting special attention to developing countries. We publish our results and make recommendations in the aim of influencing actors in politics and business, but also consumers, to adjust their behavior accordingly. SÜDWIND works on a wide range of North-South issues which are pursued with different levels of intensity. These currently include: development cooperation, women and the world economy, climate justice, sustainability in financial markets, supply chains in commodities, and social standards in world trade. Our publications will give you an insight into current research in these fields and will present you with options on what you can do, including social investment. In order to remain independent, we depend on the financial support by our members and donors. Furthermore, the “SÜDWIND Foundation for International Social and Economic Justice” was founded in 2007 to support our association. The fund is investing its funds according to strict ethical and ecological criteria.
